Group charges Kwara new commissioners on loyalty

A sociopolitical youth organization in Kwara state, comprising young political activists and stakeholders, Kwara Peoples Network, has charged newly inaugurated commissioners and special aides in the state to live up to people’s expectations and not to betray the state governor’s confidence in them.

In a statement signed by the group’s state coordinator, Engineer Tunde Fadipe and convener, Busayo David in Ilorin at the weekend, the organization urged the new appointees to see their appointment as a call to duty.

The people, who congratulated people and government for the success of the selection process and the final inauguration of the cabinet, said that people’s expectations are high.

“You should see this as a call to duty and opportunity to contribute to the growth of our dear state. Your appointment is a huge investment of trust by the governor and this must never be betrayed”, the statement said.

The people also said that appointment of a former Kwara Central senatorial aspirant in the last general elections under the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Yinka Aluko, as Special Adviser for Special Duties, was well deserved and merited.

“We want to specifically congratulate one of our mentors and father on his well deserved and merited appointment as SA Special Duties to Governor Abdulrazaq Abdulrahman. He is a round peg in a round hole”, the statement said.
