This was disclosed in a statement by the governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Media, Alhaji Abdu Labaran, on Monday in Katsina.
Labaran said that the governor paid N3, 666, 000 fines for the 16 inmates.
He said that the beneficiaries were drawn from various prisons in Katsina, Funtua, Daura, Dutsin-ma, Kankia, Jibia, Malumfashi and Mani.
The media aide also said that the administration would continue to design policies that would improve on the living condition of people in the state.
