Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf has ordered an immediate investigation into allegations of a drug supply contract across the 44 Local Government Councils of the state.
This development may be related to recent allegations made by a popular skitmaker, who claimed in a video that the state government was involved in a drug supply contract.
Governor Yusuf has denied any knowledge of the contract and has directed the Chairman of the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC), Bar. Muhuyi Rimingado, to conduct an investigation into the allegations.

According to a statement jointly signed by the Commissioner of Information, Baba Halilu Dantiye, and the Director General of Media and Publicity to the Governor, Sanusi Bature, the commission is expected to report the findings for further action.
The statement reads, “Gov. Abba K. Yusuf of Kano State has denied any knowledge of the contract said to have been recently awarded for the supply of drugs to the 44 Local Government Councils of the state.
The Governor has directed the Executive Chairman of the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC) to investigate the allegations immediately and report the outcome for further necessary action.”
The Governor also urged the people of Kano State to be patient while awaiting the results of the investigation.
