Kano governor, Abba Yusuf, has announced a plan to reshuffle his cabinet, aimed at injecting fresh blood into the present administration, who have what it takes to move the state forward.
He said the move is in fulfillment of his decision to drop members of his cabinet rated below the standard of performance set by his government.
Confirming the receipt of the report of the committee on the performance of cabinet members, Friday at the government house, the governor explained that the public would soon see his next action.
Gov Yusuf, therefore, refreshed public memory on the planned cabinet reshuffle, saying his government means to achieve desired results and earn the public confidence in them.
According to him, none of the present commissioners lobbied for the position, stressing that before their appointment, he considered experience and credibility and had consultations.
”What I expected from the commissioners is obedience to my humble self, to the NNPP and to the Kwankeasiyya Movement, in addition to dedication to duty and to come up with good initiatives for the development of the state”.
While commenting on poverty alleviation, the governor said that people of the state benefited with free foodstuffs distribution in the urban and rural areas to cushion the hardship being experienced as a result of removal of petroleum subsidy.
He assured that the gesture would be sustained to enable thousands of less privilege citizens meet their daily bread.
He then further said KASCO company that provides fertiliser for teeming farmers is upgrading with a view of providing enough commodities for farmers to boost food production.
