Kano Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has accepted the resignation of Alhaji Muhammad Diggol, the Commissioner for the Ministry of Project Monitoring and Evaluation, with immediate effect.
This development comes after Alhaji, Diggol was suspended by the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in October last year, along with Abdullahi Bichi, the Secretary to the Kano State Government.
It is worth noting that Governor Yusuf recently announced a cabinet reshuffle, dropping five commissioners and reassigning others to enhance administrative performance.
According to a statement signed by the Director General Media and Publicity to Governor Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa and was made available to press on Monday, Alhaji Diggol was initially appointed as Commissioner for Transportation in 2023 but was later reassigned to the Ministry of Project Monitoring and Evaluation, where he served until his resignation.
However, Governor Yusuf expressed his gratitude to Engr. Diggol for his selfless service, commitment, dedication, and exemplary work ethic during his tenure.
Governor Yusuf’, also extended his best wishes to Engr. Diggol in his future endeavours.
