Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State visited LEA Primary and Junior Secondary School in Kuriga over the weekend, where he was warmly received by enthusiastic students, teachers, and appreciative community members.
On March 24, 2024, over 180 students were kidnapped by bandits and regained their freedom after two weeks in captivity.
During his visit, Governor Sani engaged directly with the students, inquiring about their experiences since their return and their progress in school.
The students shared positive and inspiring responses, expressing gratitude for their freedom and the support they have received.
Governor Sani reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the safety and security of the students, stating, “We will do everything possible to ensure that you learn in a safe and secure environment.”
The governor also inspected the recent remodelling work at the school, which has been upgraded with modern facilities.
He expressed satisfaction with the quality of the work, noting that it was executed to specification and of high standard.
The visit was considered a significant morale booster for the students, who have moved past the trauma of their abduction and are now focused on their education.
