Gov Oyebanji appoints 115 new aides

Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has approved new appointments of no fewer than 115 Special Assistants, Senior Special Assistants and Technical Advisors in the state.

The latest appointment comes four months after the governor had appointed 162 aides comprising 79 senior special assistants (SSAs), 73 special assistants (SAs), and 10 technical advisors (TAs) in December 2023.

He described the appointments as the first batch in the series of appointments to be rolled out by his administration for party members and other stakeholders in the state

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, Yinka Oyebode in a statement on Wednesday explained that the new set of appointments included, 64 Special Assistants (SAs), 45 Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and 6 Technical Advisors (TAs).

He added that the appointment which would take effect from May 1, 2024 would position the administration for optimal service delivery towards delivering the six-point agenda for the state.

The new Technical Advisors include Dr. Olusola Osetoba, TA on Sports Development; Pastor Odunayo Kayode, TA on OTSD; Olubunmi Omotayo Nelson, TA on Special Duties; Dr. Oni Abimbola Ibidun, TA on Entrepreneurship Development; Akogun Tai Oguntayo, TA on Public Communication (Political) and Mr. Adetunji Stephen, TA on Local Govt Affairs (Project Monitoring and Evaluation).

“The Governor, while congratulating the new appointees, urged them to demonstrate the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct in the discharge of their respective duties,” the statement reads.
