Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the Delta State governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, Mr Charles Aniagwu, has lauded Nigerian Tribune for objective coverage of events in the state.
Aniagwu gave the kudos during a visit to the Warri Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) on Wednesday in Warri, Delta State.
“I have to single out Nigerian Tribune in spite of its headquarters being based in the South West.
Tribune is competing favourably with national dailies whose publishers are from here.
I really want to thank the balanced reportage of the paper as I ensure I go through it on a daily basis and I’m really impressed,” Aniagwu, who had worked with Africa Independent Television (AIT) before his appointment.
He disclosed that the state government’s commitment to the welfare and professionalism of journalists in the state led to the construction of the state’s NUJ Press Centre in Asaba.
