Gov Ododo redeploys Oladele Nihi as special adviser, youth affairs

Kogi Governor, Ododo Ahmed Usman, through the office of the Secretary of the State Government, has announced the redeployment of Oladele John Nihi from Chief Press Secretary to the position of Special Adviser on Youths and Student Affairs, with immediate effect.

This comes as a recognition of Nihi’s exceptional dedication and demonstrated leadership within the administration.

Nihi, who until today served as the Chief Press Secretary to the Kogi Governor, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role.

His redeployment, which was not unexpected given his proven record of youth and student advocacy, signifies a commitment to the youth and student community, as well as his remarkable capacity for effecting positive change.

In his acceptance speech, Amb Nihi expressed gratitude for the trust and confidence reposed in him by Governor Ododo.

He stated: “I am deeply honored and humbled by this redeployment as the Special Adviser on Youths and Student Affairs.

“I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to His Excellency, Governor Ododo, for entrusting me with this important responsibility. I am committed to serving the youth and student community with dedication, integrity, and passion.”

It is noteworthy that Nihi’s redeployment marks the second time he has been appointed within less than two months into the administration of Governor Ododo. This underscores the Governor’s recognition of the Youth Ambassador’s exceptional capacity and his invaluable contributions to the youth constituency in the state.

Nihi’s illustrious career in youth advocacy spans several notable positions, including serving as the Commissioner for Youth Political Participation at Pan-African Youth Union where he moved on to currently occupy the esteemed position of Vice President West-Africa of the same PYU, further demonstrating his deep commitment to advancing the interests of young people both locally and continentally.

As Special Adviser on Youths and Student Affairs, Mr Nihi will continue to champion initiatives aimed at empowering young people, promoting education, and fostering youth development across Kogi State.

His appointment exemplifies the administration’s commitment to harnessing the potential of the youth population for the socio-economic advancement of the State.
