Gov Ododo provides office accommodation for IPAC

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Ododo, has demonstrated his inclusive leadership by providing office accommodation for the Kogi State Chapter of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC).

The Kogi State IPAC Chairman, Hon. Iliyas Badanga, commended the governor for his uncommon leadership qualities and his commitment to humility, humanitarianism, and an open-door policy.

In a statement, Badanga said, “The Governor has ensured that his governance approach is not politicised. IPAC Kogi State Chapter has unequivocally passed a vote of confidence on Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo and his team for their dexterity, doggedness, and forthrightness in handling state matters.”

He added, “This development confirms that he is not just a governor for the All Progressives Congress but for all the people of Kogi State, regardless of background. IPAC Kogi State Chapter looks forward to a more robust collaboration under your leadership.”

While expressing gratitude for the governor’s support, Badanga emphasised that IPAC would continue to play its role as an advisory body and would not hesitate to criticise objectively any decisions made by the governor when necessary. He highlighted the governor’s uncommon relationship with opposition political parties and his all-inclusive governance as a positive sign for Kogi State.

Badanga also praised the governor’s prompt payment of salaries to state and local government civil servants and his focus on infrastructure development across the three senatorial districts. He commended the governor’s bottom-up approach to leadership through the appointment of Ward and Local Government Special Assistants, which demonstrates his commitment to uplifting the poor.

IPAC suggested that the governor prioritise peacebuilding and coexistence among the three senatorial districts now that all litigation is over. They also urged him to focus on rebranding Kogi State to create opportunities for everyone.

Finally, IPAC reaffirmed its commitment to playing its advisory roles on issues affecting registered political parties and the state at large.
