Gov Namadi commended as Jigawa farmers, herders resolve conflict

Jigawa Governor, Malam Umar Namadi, has been praised by farmers and herders for his efforts in resolving conflicts between the two groups. After a decade of bloody crises, peace has been restored in the Hadejia wetlands, thanks to the governor’s initiatives and policies.

The farmers and herders presented gifts to the governor, including cows, rice, and wheat, in appreciation of his efforts.

The governor urged both groups to maintain peace and unity and warned that any breach of peace would not be tolerated.

He also cautioned traditional rulers, religious leaders, and community leaders to be vigilant and avoid harboring bad elements.

The chairman of the herders association, Hardo Ja’e Fago, commended the governor for his efforts, which have led to progress in the economy and peaceful coexistence between farmers and herders.

The chairman of the farmers association, Alhaji Ya’u Kaga, also thanked the governor for his support, including the provision of tractors, agricultural inputs, and subsidized fertilizer.
