Gov Inuwa receives triumphant welcome after Supreme Court victory

Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, received an unexpected hero’s welcome on Sunday from ardent party enthusiasts, supporters, and well-wishers upon his return to Gombe.

This warm reception followed his official trip outside the state and his recent triumph at the Supreme Court.

The elated crowd, consisting of party enthusiasts and supporters, lined the routes at Nafada, Funakaye, Kwami, and Gombe, eager to express their joy and solidarity with the Governor following his legal victory at the Supreme Court.

Although the Governor had been avoiding a grand reception, he found it challenging to contain the overwhelming response from the people who couldn’t hide their happiness over the court’s verdict.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya was returning from Maiduguri, where he chaired the annual Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Lecture as Chairman of the Northern States Governors’ Forum.

Despite opting for a road journey back to Gombe, his return turned into a celebration as supporters, led by officials, party chieftains, and, in some places, traditional rulers, enthusiastically welcomed him along the route through their respective local government areas.

In Gombe, Deputy Governor Dr. Manassah Daniel Jatau led other top government functionaries to receive Governor Inuwa Yahaya at his residence.

They conveyed heartfelt congratulations to him and the APC on their triumph at the Supreme Court. At all the stops, prayers were offered for Allah’s continued guidance for the Governor and his administration, as well as for the peace, progress, and prosperity of Gombe State, as stated in a press release by Ismaila Uba Misilli.
