Gov Inuwa mourns Gombe Islamic cleric, Sheikh Kobuwa

Gombe Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has expressed deep saddeness over the demise of a renowned Islamic scholar and a spiritual leader of Tijjaniyya in the State, Khalifa Sheikh Muhammadu Kobuwa, who died earlier on Friday.

The Governor described the deceased as truly remarkable Islamic cleric and a strong pillar of Tijjaniya who devoted his entire life to the service of Allah and the propagation of the ideals, personality, traits and character of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

According to him, “Sheikh Muhammadu Kobuwa’s impact on the hearts of the people, especially the Tijjaniyya followers, is truly indelible. His guidance and teachings have been a source of inspiration for many”.

Inuwa Yahaya added that, ” His death is a huge loss, not just for Gombe State, but the entire country. It is my hope that his legacy of goodness and wisdom will be sustained by those he left behind, continuing to inspire generations to come”.

He extended his heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the deceased, members of Fiyanul Islam, Tijjaniyya community, and the Muslim Ummah as a whole.

He prayed Almighty Allah to shower his soul with Rahma (mercy) and reward his good deeds with Aljannat Firdaus as contained in a statement by Ismaila Uba Misilli, Director-General, (Press Affairs) Government House, Gombe.
