Gombe State governor, Inuwa Yahaya
Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has been lauded for his exceptional leadership qualities in marshaling the affairs of the State which has since brought tremendous development to the people and attracted several investors into the State.
The commendation was made separately by Two Military Generals from the Nigerian Navy and Air Force who were in the State over the weekend on National assignment.
The Military Chiefs, Rear Admiral Umar Ayuba Chugali and Air Vice Marshal Sani Amos were in State for the commissioning of classroom blocks, staff quarters, and the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of 80,000-litre water borehole in Kwarge and Dungale all of Mona District in Balanga LGA, of the State.
The Two Senior Military Officers who spoke variously, particularly commended Governor Inuwa Yahaya for his commitment to rural infrastructural development, saying the commissioning of three blocks of classrooms, a teachers’ quarters, and the groundbreaking of the water project was complimentary.
The Senior Officers had facilitated the projects through the North East Development Commission (NEDC), SUBEB, and the Nigerian Navy as a way to giving back to the society.
They urged the benefiting communities to ensure proper utilization and maintenance of the facilities in the interest of longevity.
Real Admiral Chugali and Air Vice Marshal Sani Amos further appealed to the governor to absorb the six teachers currently employed by the community, provision of furniture for the classroom blocks and to consider constructing a general hospital in the area.
Inuwa Yahaya who was represented at the event, by the Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Lt Col Abdullahi Bello (Rtd), expressed gratitude to the Generals for bringing the much-needed infrastructure to the communities.
He highlighted that his administration had also constructed the Mona Road, Primary Healthcare facility, and schools in the area, among other numerous projects
The District Head of Fitilai also expressed appreciation to the Governor for his developmental efforts and thanked the military generals for their generous contributions to the communities as contained in a statement by Joshua Danmallam, Information Officer, SSG’s office.
