Gov Inuwa attends unveiling of Prof Pantami’s book

Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, on Wednesday attended the official unveiling of a book written by former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof. Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami held at the Freser Suites in Abuja.

 

The Governor, who served as the Chief Host at the event, lauded the book titled “A Scholar’s Journey: Navigating Academia” for its meticulous portrayal of the author’s academic experiences, asserting its undeniable value for the academic community, particularly aspiring scholars.

 

According to the Governor, “Let me begin by congratulating my brother, one of the proudest Ambassadors of Gombe state, Prof. Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, for authoring this well crafted book that provides a comprehensive account of his academic journey.”

 

“I am confident that this literary work will be of substantial value, not only to the academic community but the larger society. He noted that the book also offers invaluable insights and guidance, especially for aspiring scholars on their educational path”, the Governor said.

 

Inuwa Yahaya, who described the author as a shining example across diverse fields, transcending academia, asserted that Gombe state takes immense pride in the accomplishments of this illustrious son.

 

He said that, “Let me profoundly say that Prof. Pantami is a shinning example across diverse fields, extending beyond the academia. He is indeed a source of pride for Gombe state. His remarkable journey is a testament to the fact that one’s background does not hinder their potential to achieve greatness.”

 

Inuwa Yahaya added that,”He started as an Almajari student, but his steadfastness in pursuit of excellence has propelled him to rise through the ranks to become not only a national figure but also gaining international recognition for his expertise and significant contributions in combating cyber crimes on a global scale.”

 

The Governor then launched 10 copies of the book at the sum of N10 million while 20 copies were launched at N20 million on behalf of the Governors of the Northern States.

 

The copies are expected to be distributed to institutions of learning for the benefit of students and other aspiring scholars.

 

In his address, the author, Prof. Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami expressed his profound gratitude to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for graciously accepting the request to serve as the Chief Host and for leading high-ranking officials of his government to actively partake in the book launch, saying the Governor’s gesture is an honor he sincerely valued and will continue to cherish.

 

The event was attended by eminent Nigerians including Governors Babagana Zulum of Borno and Abdullahi A. Sule of Nasarawa, the Minister of Housing, Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, former Governors of Gombe and Lagos states, Sen. Danjuma Goje and Babatunde Raji Fashola, former Ministers, serving and former members of the National Assembly, Heads of Agencies as well as other distinguished personalities from across walks of life as contained in a statement by Ismaila Uba Misilli Director-General, (Press Affairs), Government House, Gombe.
