Gov Inuwa appoints Haruna Ahmed as new GO-CARES coordinator

Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has approved the appointment of Mallam Haruna Ahmed Imam as the new State Coordinator of the Gombe State Community Action Resilience and Economic Stimulus (GO-CARES).

A press release signed by the Director General of Press Affairs, Government House Gombe, Ismaila Uba Missili, conveyed that the Governor’s approval was communicated by the Secretary to the State Governor, Prof. Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi.

The statement further indicated that the appointment, which aims to strengthen governance and drive development across the state, will take effect from 10th January 2025.

Mallam Haruna Ahmed Imam is expected to bring his vast wealth of experience to bear in advancing the administration’s quest to deliver good governance and promote economic resilience.

Until his appointment as the State Coordinator of GO-CARES, Mallam Haruna Ahmed Imam served as the General Manager of the Gombe State Agency for Community and Social Development (CSDA), one of the delivery platforms of the GO-CARES programme.

As he resumes office as directed by the Governor, it is expected that activities will be invigorated at the Agency, which is one of the main drivers of development in the state, according to a statement by Comfort Mukollo, PRO of CSDA.
