He maintained that the government has already put some measures in place to catch erring administrators for suspension.

In a related development, Barr. Ozigi said as part of measures to tackle security challenges, Governor Bello has directed the administrators to arrest any self-acclaimed traditional ruler adding that such persons must be handed over to the Directorate of State Security (DSS) for prosecution.

The commissioner said some of the security breaches in Local Government Areas emanates from chieftaincy tussles. He said a situation where unauthorized persons now parade themselves as traditional rulers has compounded security problems at the grassroots.

The commissioner further stated that the governor from the inception of his administration placed security as his number one priority adding that all hands must be on deck to consolidate on the existing peace in the state.

While responding to the commissioner’s address, Kogi State Chairman of ALGON, Taofiq Isah said the Local Government Administrators are prepared to carry out their duties at the grassroots with due diligence.

He assured the commissioner that they will continue to work with the letter and spirit of the new direction administration of Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello.
