Gov Bello has constructed about 250km of roads in 6 years, says Niger spokesman

Governor Abubakar Sani Bello-led administration in Niger State, has surpassed successive governments in the state in road construction and the provision of social amenities, says the director-general to the governor on communications and strategy, Alhaji Abdulbaquy Usman Ebo.

He said the governor constructed over 250 kilometres of roads across the three senatorial districts of the state in the last six years of his administration, adding that Governor Sani Bello has equally transformed some rural communities with the needed amenities that will have a direct impact on their lives.

The director-general who spoke in a phone-in program of a Minna based radio, the Prestige FM monitored by the Tribune Online at the weekend in Minna explained that no administration in the state can compete with the present APC- led government in the state in the area of infrastructural development.

According to Ebbo, the Governor was committed to making the lots of his electorates better than he had met it with the provision of social amenities that would improve their well being.

This noted, informed the governor’s commitment to embarking on rural transformation, stressing that more of such transformations would be seen across the state before the expiration of his tenure in 2023.

He admonished whoever would succeed the present government in the state in the next dispensation to build on Governor Sani Bello’s legacy by continuing from where he will stop to be able to bequeath aggressive transformation to the State that would be a thing of pride for all Nigerlites.

He pointed out that the Abubakar Sani Bello- led administration was committed to making Niger State a viable investments haven through the establishment of Bobi grazing reserve in Mariga Local Government Area of the state, saying, “already the maker of Peak Milk has commenced the production of dairy milk in the grazing reserve in commercial quantity.

Ebbo disclosed further that Niger State being an agrarian state has attracted the Dangote group of companies to the establishment of a Multi- Billions Naira Rice Processing Factory in Wushishi local government area of the state”.

This, according to the director-general would boost the socio-economic development of the state and create job opportunities for the teaming unemployed youths in the state.

Speaking further, Ebbo reiterated the governor’s commitment to leaving behind an administration that would be remembered for his efforts in bringing development closer to the people of the state through his people-oriented programs that have improved the well being of the citizens within the lean resources available to the state.

He however assured that the governor would continue to embark on people-oriented programs in the next phase of his rural transformation plans.

He thereby appealed to the people of the state to continue to support the administration with prayers to enable the government to deliver on his mandate to the electorates who entrusted the governor with their mandate during the governor’s Electioneering campaigns way back in 2015 and his reelection in 2019.

The Director-General commended the people of the state for their resilience and support to Governor Sani Bello- led administration, and urged them to always criticize the administration objectively, emphasizing that it would spur the state Governor to improve on his shortcomings in the course of his piloting the affairs of the State.

“Nobody is perfect except Almighty Allah. we as humans cannot claim to be perfect in our day to day activities.

“I therefore, request from the good people of Niger State particularly our brothers from the other side, to please draw our attention to those areas you notice any shortcoming of our administration in an objective manner so that we can as quickly as possible take correction.

“Niger State belongs to all of us, so I will passionately appeal to the people of the state to criticize us objectively for us to take correction”, he concluded.
