Gov Bello felicitates Keyamo at 50, describes him as legal icon

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has felicitated Chief Festus Keyamo, SAN, the Honourable Minister of State for Labour and Employment, on the occasion of his 50th birthday anniversary.

In a congratulatory message signed by the Governor and made available to newsman by his Chief Press Secretary, Onogwu Muhammed, on Monday in Lokoja, Bello described Keyamo as one of the nation’s finest legal icons and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) per excellence.

”It is my absolute pleasure, on behalf of the Government and the good people of Kogi State, to celebrate you, Chief Festus Keyamo, my friend and brother, one of the nation’s finest Legal Icons and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) per excellence as you clock the golden age of 50 today.

”Your efforts in the protection and promotion of human rights, and your campaigns for effective governance in Nigeria have over the years positioned you as a young leader to watch.

”Your hard-earned advancement in the noble legal profession and your meteoric rise in politics are clear manifestations of your wisdom, learning, character, doggedness and industry – in life generally and in the particular pursuits which you may choose to pursue per time.

”Your elevation in 2017 into the Inner Bar by the Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee (LPPC) and your receipt of the prestigious Global Human Rights Award from the United States Global Leadership Council in Washington are just two examples out of your numerous achievements.

”These showcase the international scope of your contributions to nation-building through the law and via politics,” he said.

Bello maintained that the Keyamo remained one of the strong pillars in the success of his political mentor, President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, especially in his roles as the Director of Strategic Communications and official spokesman of the Buhari/Osinbajo Campaign Organisation in the 2019 General Elections.

”As you mark this golden age, my prayer is that the Almighty God will continue to protect and keep you in sound health for enhanced positive impacts on the land and people.
