Gov Bala seeks to strengthen Bauchi, UK diplomatic relations

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, on Thursday, met with the British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Richard Montgomery, in Abuja to enhance diplomatic relations and explore strategic collaborations between Bauchi State and the United Kingdom.

The discussions focused on key sectors, including education, healthcare, trade, infrastructure, and investment, with a shared commitment to fostering sustainable development in Bauchi State.

Speaking during the meeting, Bala Mohammed reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to attracting foreign investment, strengthening economic partnerships, and implementing governance reforms for the benefit of Bauchi’s residents.

The Governor stated that, “Today, I met with the British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Richard Montgomery, in Abuja to strengthen diplomatic ties and explore strategic collaborations between Bauchi State and the United Kingdom.

“Our discussions centered on key sectors such as education, healthcare, trade, infrastructure, and investment, with a shared commitment to fostering sustainable development.

“I reiterated my administration’s dedication to attracting foreign investment, enhancing economic partnerships, and implementing governance reforms to improve the lives of Bauchi’s residents.

“The High Commissioner commended my leadership and vision, expressing the UK government’s willingness to collaborate on initiatives that align with our mutual interests.

“Recognising Bauchi’s strategic importance, he assured continued engagement in efforts that promote good governance, development, and economic prosperity. #GreaterBauchi @UKinNigeria.”

Montgomery commended the Governor’s leadership and vision, expressing the UK government’s readiness to collaborate on projects that align with mutual interests.
