Gov Bala reiterates commitment to improved healthcare

Bauchi Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has restated that his PDP-led administration will intensify its commitment to improving the healthcare sector by ensuring effective and efficient service delivery across the state.

The Governor also emphasised the importance of teamwork and information between stakeholders in the sector to enhance seamless but standardised service delivery.

He was speaking when he commissioned strategic, diagnostics and dialysis equipment procured by his administration for the Bauchi Specialist Hospital.

Bala Mohammed, however, underlined the milestones his administration has reached in advancing the sector, saying that more developmental projects will come up to ensure boosting economic performance of the state in all sectors.

The Governor reiterated his Administration’s continuous development of the health sector stressing that there will be unhindered investment to develop the sector to an enviable level.

Bala Mohammed said that to ensure that the equipment was put to effective and efficient use, he will personally be going to supervise the use and functionality of the dialysis centre often.

He also said that he would create time out of his busy schedule to go round all other health facilities across the state to ensure effective and efficient healthcare service delivery to the people.

Bala Mohammed further said that the services will be affordable to the people of the state considering the economic situation of the country.

In his remarks, State Commissioner of Health, Dr Adamu Umar Sambo commended the Governor for prioritising the health sector of the state which has positively impacted the services provided in all health facilities across the state.

He said that the equipment is the most modern one in the treatment of renal problems, diagnosis, and dialysis treatment saying that it will come in handy for all categories of patients.

The Chief Medical Director, Specialist Hospital, Bauchi, Dr Abdulkarim Mairiga also commended the Governor for his many developmental projects in the health sector pledging continuous support to the administration.

The CMD assured that the centre and the equipment will be used judiciously and professionally to provide effective and efficient services to all categories of clients.
