All is now set for the commencement of the construction of 2 approved flyovers in Bauchi metropolis in line with the avowed commitment of Governor Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad to make Bauchi a befitting state capital.
Recall that the State Executive Council (SEC) during its recent meeting, approved to construct Two 2 flyover bridges at Wunti and Central markets roundabouts.
Consequently, the State Ministry of Works and Transport in collaboration with the contractors, Messer CCECC have swung in to action and embarked on the on -the-spot location assessment at the proposed flyovers project sites.
The Commissioner in charge of the Ministry, Hon. Ibrahim Gambo Galadima alongside with the Special Adviser on Projects, Alh. Mahmud Abdulkadir, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Alh. Abubakar Usman Misau and other Engineers of the Ministry undertook a tour round the sites and were received by the Supervisors of the CCECC Nigerian limited.
While inspecting the evaluation exercise, Ibrahim Gambo Galadima, maintained that the project commencement portrayed a determination of the administration to beautify the state capital as is done elsewhere.
It is also to ease traffic gridlock and vehicular movements in Bauchi City, adding that it would change the face of the capital city.
He appreciated the zeal of the construction firm, and urged them to maintain the tempo for speedy and quality delivery of the two projects .
