Gov Bago mourns tanker explosion victims

Niger Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has expressed shock and sadness over a devastating tanker explosion that claimed several lives in Dikko junction, near the Abuja-Kaduna expressway.

The Governor described the incident as “worrisome, heartbreaking, and unfortunate” and sympathised with the families of the victims, praying for the souls of the departed and healing the injured.

The explosion occurred on Saturday morning when a petrol tanker burst into flames, resulting in the loss of lives and injuries.

Governor Bago has directed relevant authorities to take necessary actions and ensured that security agents would maintain order in the area.

He also urged residents to prioritise their safety and cautioned against reckless behaviour.
