The Special Adviser to Governor Ahmed Aliyu of Sokoto State on Security Matters, Colonel Ahmed Usman (retd.), has commended the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa, for his unwavering commitment to restoring peace and advancing educational development in the state.
Speaking to journalists on Sunday, Colonel Usman highlighted General Musa’s crucial role in supporting the state government’s security initiatives, particularly in combating banditry and other threats.
“The CDS has consistently responded to our requests, significantly curtailing attacks in the state. Most of the recent incidents involve bandits fleeing military operations elsewhere,” he stated.
He emphasized the government’s priority of restoring security in Sokoto’s eastern region, ensuring that displaced farmers can return to their lands and resume agricultural activities.
