Good Skincare is Anti-aging – Skin therapist, Mimi Whyte-Femi

Just as life is not static, ageing is a continuous process every human undergoes.

Ageing gracefully is however a choice every human can make. This is the candid opinion of one of Nigeria’s leading skin therapists and aestheticians, Mimi Whyte Femi, the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Skin Therapy Beauty and Spa situated in Lagos and Abuja.

According to the newly wedded, beautiful entrepreneur, ageing is a gradual, continuous process of natural change that begins in early adulthood. During early middle age, many bodily functions begin to gradually decline. People do not become old or elderly at any specific age. While ageing is an independent process, it can be influenced by the choice of skincare regime one adopts.

“I believe it is very important in general to care and pamper your Skin and Self as it would represent you for the rest of your life. Good skincare is anti-ageing. It keeps your skin looking younger as the day goes by. Also, some of our in-house services are very relaxing and calming. they relieve pain, stress and improve your wellness. Also to boost your confidence level …as there’s just this confidence you have/feel having a healthy glowing skin free from acne, sunburn etc,” she said.

“There’s nothing like healthy glowing skin. Whether you are light-skinned, caramel tone-skinned or dark-skinned. You can wear a T-shirt and trousers and look good with healthy glowing skin and you can wear all the designers in the world with damaged skin and still look just horrible.
As the years go by, the world of skincare is advancing and there have been loads of amazing results you can now achieve with aesthetic machines such as permanent stretch marks removal treatments, scar revisions, non-surgical fat reductions, etc. So, now you can achieve loads of remedies/solutions for yourself and your skin and age gracefully. Like I always say, good care is anti-ageing so if you use healthy products from the right products from a certified skincare house you would most definitely enjoy a more radiant glowing skin,” she added.
