Gombe: NSCDC deploys 800 personnel for Easter

As the Good Friday and Easter celebrations commence from April 18th to 21st, 2025, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Gombe State Command, has deployed 800 officers and men across the state to ensure a peaceful and crime-free festive period.

The personnel will be stationed at various worship centres and celebration venues across all 11 local government areas of the state.

The deployment is part of the Command’s efforts to maintain law and order and provide a safe and secure environment for Christians and other residents of Gombe State to celebrate the Easter festivities.

The personnel deployed include experts from various departments and units such as Operations, Arms Squad, Counter-Terrorist Unit (CTU), Anti-Vandal, SWAT, Critical National Assets and Infrastructure (CNAI), and Intelligence, among others.

State Commandant Gyama Gyawiya has urged all citizens and residents of the state to go about their normal activities without fear or panic, as the Command has put in place adequate security measures to ensure a peaceful celebration.

He wished all Christians and residents of Gombe State a peaceful Good Friday and Easter celebration and assured them of the Command’s commitment to maintaining law and order throughout the state.

The Command has emplaced robust security measures to prevent any form of crime or disturbance during the Easter celebrations.

The deployed personnel will work in synergy with other security agencies to ensure that all worship centres and celebration venues are secure.

The Command urged all citizens and residents to report any suspicious activity or security threat to the nearest Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) office or any security agency.

The NSCDC Gombe State Command remains committed to providing a safe and secure environment for all citizens and residents of the state to celebrate the Easter festivities.

It urged everyone to go about their normal activities without fear or panic and to report any security threat or suspicious activity to the nearest security agency, as contained in a statement by
