It was a moment of joy for 19-year old model, actress and show host, Miss Udeh Precious, who beat stiff competition from 19 other contestants to emerge winner of the 2018 Sisi Oge Cultural Pageant.

Miss Udeh, who started modeling from the beginning of 2017, shone like a million stars to win the coveted crown.

Miss Debby Oduneye and Miss Iruka Lolade Madubulum Joy were also winners on the night, as they emerged Sisi Oge Tourism and Sisi Oge Culture, respectively.

The contestants were judged on interpersonal skills, social graces, poise, etiquette, intelligence, entrepreneurial potentials, cultural awareness, leadership attributes and moral cores.

The event featured four out-fit segments, covering ethnic representation, dinner, carnival and dance, while there were performances by music artistes.

It was indeed a night of colourful cultural displays, exhibition, mini carnival, music, comedy, dance, cultural pageant and fashion show, as eminent personalities turned up for the occasion.

Among the dignitaries who graced the night, were Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mr. Steve Ayorinde, Hajia Abbah Folawiyo; Chief (Mrs) Nike Davies Okundaye, Princess (Dr) Toyin Kolade (Iyalaje), and eminent royal fathers.

Others included Hajia Bisi Shuaibu; Otunba Wanle Akinboboye, CEO of Five Star Music, E Money, Shina Peller; Mrs Funmi Ajila Ladipo; Dr Peter Obafemi; Deji Doherty; Oscar Yao Doe; Professor Babatunde Babawale; Mrs Temilola Hamzat; Kunle Afolayan, Shola Sobowale, and Mr Charles Ifidon.

Mr Idris Aregbe, Chief Executive Officer of No 1 Heritage Solutions, organisers of the event, said the annual cultural event was their own little way of promoting culture, fostering unity and aiding development, thus making the world a better place.

This platform, over the years, has become a unique feature of My Heritage, My Pride; a cultural event that showcases the African culture enmeshed in contemporary values and also opportunity for raising young cultural ambassadors.
