Giwa named acting Clerk, House of Reps

The management of the National Assembly on Monday named Mr Patrick A Giwa, the Deputy Clerk ( Legislature) as the Acting Clerk of the House of Representatives following the retirement of the Clerk with effect from 25th November, this year.

This was contained in a memo dated December 3, 2018, and signed by the Clerk of the National Assembly, Alhaji M A Sani-Omolori, and copied all the Principal Officers of the National Assembly, the members of the two Chambers of the NASS and others,  a copy now in possession of the Nigerian Tribune.

According to the letter, ‎Mr Giwa, being the most Senior officer, ” is hereby directed to resume responsibilities as the Ag Clerk, House of Representatives and this appointment is with effect from November 26, 2018 ‎”

Before his appointment, Mr Giwa was the Clerk Public Accounts Committee Director, (Clerk of Committees), Director of Chamber Services, Deputy Clerk, House of Representatives.
