The governor who spoke through his Special Adviser on Media and ICT, Tahav Agerzua said that the senator should refrain from castigating his administration.
Ortom who said power belongs to God and give to whom he wants advised politicians to stop arrogating undue power to themselves.
“Nobody should think that he can make someone governor, such practice is now alien. Aper Aku became first civilian governor of Benue State without anyone’s effort, same for Rev.Fr. Moses Adasu.
“Politicians should tell the people what they have done and not to castigate others. Some have been there in the past twelve years without rendering the scorecard to their constituents,” Ortom said.

Speaking on the threat of show off by the governorship aspirants if Ortom is given preference, Tahav said the governor is not afraid of contest.
He recalled that in 2015, the governor ran the entire gamut of PDP governorship primary before leaving for APC on grounds of impurity.
“People should stop pitching the governor with other aspirants. Governor Ortom is not afraid of contest. That is why as a Democrat, he even left APC which offered him an automatic ticket.
“I believe too, that the PDP will not force Ortom on its members. Let all the aspirants canvass for votes from the delegates ahead of its primary,” Tahav maintained.
