Musa set for Leicester medical

Nigeria star, Ahmed Musa will undergo a medical with Leicester City anytime from now before signing a five-year contract with the Premier League champions.

“Everything has been finalised and Musa will be in England for his medical on Wednesday,” Musa’s agent Tony Harris told BBC Sport.

Russian champions, CSKA Moscow announced Musa will depart Moscow on Tuesday (today).

Leicester, who first put in a bid for the winger cum forward in January, has now agreed a transfer fee of $21 million.

The surprise champions of the Premier League will make the Super Eagles vice captain their fourth signing thus far, with centre-back Luis Hernandez, goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler and midfielder Nampalys Mendy having already signed.

Meanwhile, CSKA coach, Leonid Slutsky has said the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) winner will be a big hit in England as he is made for the Premier League.

“He’ll be leaving Tuesday (today),” Slutsky told Russian media of the former Kano Pillars forward.

“And if you look at the way things are done over there you’ll see he is a player just made for English football.”

Musa, it will be recalled, joined CSKA in 2012 and scored 53 goals in 161 games.
