Ganduje unveils APC’s blueprint to reclaim Oyo, Osun

Published by

National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Abdullahi Ganduje has said the ruling party has a blueprint in the offing to oust the main opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party from its governance of Oyo and Osun states.

Ganduje made the declaration on Wednesday when he received formally into the party, Dr. (Colonel) Gbenga Adegbola (rtd).

Both Oyo and Osun are in the south west geo-political zone, the region of President Bola Tinubu.

Ganduje maintained that taking the two states from the PDP would create what he called political homogeneity for the APC in the zone.

He said: “Our blueprint for South West geo-political zone for 2027 is tagged “political homogeneity”.

“In other words, the South West accordinf to our blueprint, we will work hard and with the help of Allah (SWT) and the people of the state, Oyo will be an APC State in 2027. Another state in the zone that is off the hook—Osun state, In sha Allahu, will also be an APC State. That is what we mean by political homogeneity.”

He assured Adegbola that his leadership would give him a sense of belonging by according him all privileges.

“We thank you for coming to APC and we assure you that you are now a full member of our party.

“By this declaration, you have the privilege, opportunities and the chance to contest for any position in the party. If you decide to contest election, an enabling environment is guaranteed. You are free to contest for any office you so wish .”

While addressing journalists after his meeting with Ganduje and other members of the party National Working Committee, Adegbola who claimed to have over 10,000 followers said he would work with other stakeholders in Oyo state to secure victory for the party in the forthcoming general elections, particularly the governorship race.

Without much ado, I want to thank the almighty God for bringing us this far. I want to wholeheartedly and highly committed to the renewed Hope Agenda of Mr. President. We will do everything possible to make sure that we make Oyo State by 2027 an APC state.
