The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), led by the National Chairman Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, was in Damaturu today to commiserate with the government and people of Yobe State over the unfortunate attack on Mafa village by Boko Haram insurgents.

A statement made available to journalists in Abuja and signed by Mamman Mohammed, DG Press and Media Affairs to the Governor, disclosed that Ganduje said the NWC was in the state to stand with the government and people during this difficult time of the callous attack and senseless killing of innocent people.

“We are part of the Yobe family; we feel the pain and sorrow suffered by the government and people of Yobe State, and we are here to condole with our brothers and sisters over this very sad incident,” Ganduje said.

The Chairman called on the government and security agencies to strengthen the existing synergy to effectively combat the menace.

He consoled the families of the victims and expressed optimism that the state would soon overcome this tragedy by the special grace of God.
