Gambari community appreciates philanthropist, Gobir for rebuilding mosque

Muslim community of Gambari compound in the Ilorin Emirate and beyond has commended the philanthropic gesture of an elder statesman, Alhaji Yakubu Gobir, on reconstruction of Imam Gambari mosque.

In a statement by members of the community signed by their spokesperson, Comrade Abdulkareem Gambari Volvo, the people said that recent takeover of reconstruction of the mosque project, which is nearly 80 per cent completed, by the philanthropist, “is a testament to his unwavering commitment to the betterment of our community”.

The people, who expressed the hope that the mosque will soon be restored to its former glory, said that it would help to provide a sacred space for worship, social gathering and to strengthen bonds among the residents.

They also prayed that the example showed by the philanthropist would inspire others to follow in his footsteps in order to foster a spirit of community and compassion that will benefit generations to come.

“Muslim community of Gambari owes a debt of gratitude to Alhaji Yakubu Gobir, a philanthropist and humanitarian extraordinaire.

“His recent takeover of the Imam Gambari Mosque reconstruction project, which was nearly 80% completed, is a testament to his unwavering commitment to the betterment of our community.

“Alhaji Gobir’s generosity and sense of responsibility are truly inspiring. By shouldering the burden of completing this vital project, he has demonstrated his dedication to the propagation of Islam and the well-being of our people.

“His selflessness and kindness have ensured that our beloved mosque will be restored to its former glory, providing a sacred space for us to worship, gather, and strengthen our bonds.

“We cannot thank Alhaji Gobir enough for his remarkable gesture. May Allah bless him abundantly and reward his kindness with infinite blessings. We pray that his example will inspire others to follow in his footsteps, fostering a spirit of community and compassion that will benefit generations to come.
