G-Worldwide’s counsel sets records straight on Kizz Daniel

Counsel to the G-Worldwide Records Label, Olisa Agbakoba (SAN), has debunked the news doing the rounds that the label is ripping off its former label act, Kizz Daniel.

Agbakoba described the news as unfounded as the label’s intention is only to enforce its rights under the contractual agreement with the artiste.

Agbakoba made this known to journalists during the briefing held recently at his chambers in Lagos State.

“The purpose of this press conference is to correct the news doing the rounds about G-Worldwide, that it is trying to reap where it did not sow or that it is holding a grudge against Kiss Daniel because he is the only good to have come out of the record label.

“These rumours are unfounded and are being driven by misguided individuals, as the truth is that the only intention of the record label is to enforce its rights under a contract that was valid and entered into without any form of inducement, fear or coercion.

“We are simply reiterating through this press conference that contracts are sacred and parties to contracts should uphold their end of the contract in order to avoid the attendant legal burden they would have to bear.

“Kizz Daniel has breached the terms of the recording contract and has refused to make amends, which shows that he does not respect the sanctity of contracts and everyone should be wary of dealing with such a person or else, they may incur huge liabilities for contributory infringement of GWW’s intellectual property rights or be exposed to third party liability claims,” Agbakoba said.
