FYJIO Group pledges support to boost agricultural sector in Africa

FYJIO Group, under the umbrella of US Latino American Chamber of Commerce (USLACC), has reiterated its commitment to boost the African agricultural sector and to harness different institutions in order to develop the continent.

The representative, USLACC – Africa, Ambassador Ifeoma Mary Ejiogu, made this known in Abuja during a press briefing for the 2018 FYJIO Week, to be held in US from  November 14 to 17.

Ejiogu stated that the FIJIO Week is designed to pull together all investors, capitalists, financial institutions, industrialists and educationists under one umbrella.

According to her,  ‘’The event would be giving opportunities to exhibitors from Africa in exhibiting diverse businesses, sales, and showcasing potential information regarding their  companies.

She noted that the event will create the platform for participants to negotiate possibilities of expanding and exploring various opportunities as they meet with business experts and top business owners.

She further explained that the programme will promote agriculture and agric businesses, motivate existing farmers and attract more people into agriculture.

“The impression already created before now is that agriculture is for illiterates, poor women and a job of no choice. This is as a result of poor income generation which I can suggest emanated from the method of farming, lack of funding and good methods earlier adopted in farm work,” she said.

“Today, through this initiative, agriculture is taking an attractive new shape in value chain, agric businesses, connection to global market, chemical free fertilizers, mechanization, access to loans and grants, all round the year farming and international trade expo.
