Some of the students, in an interview with NAN, decried the persistent outage in the area in the last couple of months.
One of the protesters, Miss Bisi Akinjo, said that the students have been suffering in silence due to the persistent outage.
She said that the students had been using money to charge their phones and laptops in order to carry out academic assignments.
Another student, Bayode Fatunla, expressed disappointment with the attitude of the officials of BEDC.
He appealed to the management of the university to intervene and restore electricity back to the campus community in Ikole.
