Funbi seems to be one of the industry’s best kept secrets. From collaborations with M.I as far back as 2012, to the chorus on ‘Adore Her’, one of the fan favorites from the collective EP, he’s been steadily building a fan base for his vocal prowess and versatility.
Now, with the release of the video for ‘Hallelujah’, his spiritual debut single, Funbi is staking his claim in the industry.
Directed by King Davies, the video places Funbi at a site of deep sanctity – the Olumirin Waterfall at Erin Ijesha in Osun State, Nigeria that similarly reflects an inner peace within the singer amidst natural wonders and the mystification of spirituality.
Styled by Kelechi Odu and photographed by Manny Jefferson, the visuals highlight the immense beauty to be found in the heart of Nigeria.
Funbi is a recording artiste, who transcends and blends various genres of music with amazing vocals. His sound has been described as new school, alternative African R&B.
In his words “I just want to make music that inspires people.”
