This was disclosed by the institution’s acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ololade Enikuomehin, at a press conference on the 23rd, 24th and 25th combined convocation ceremonies.
Enikuomehin noted that the challenges that confronted the institution in recent time, was responsible for the delay in the conduct of the exercise.
The VC while giving the breakdown explained that 1,881 graduated in 2013/2014, 2,731 in 2014/2015 and 3,065 in 2015/2016 academic sessions.
Professor Enikuomehin said a total of 71, 75 and 57 bagged first class honors in the academic sessions respectively.
He said that the university would continue to commit itself to the development of human capacity and remained steadfast to set goals in academic activities.
The VC explained that 29 programmes were assessed by the National Universities Commission (NUC) and earned full accreditation while courses obtained interim accreditation.
Enikuomehin urged the Federal Government to give approval to the university to recruit more academic staff to ensure effective students’ training.
