Covenant University has emerged as the top tertiary institution in Nigeria, according to the latest Times Higher Education (THE) World Universities Rankings.
The university, TRIBUNE ONLINE gathered, secured a global position between 201-1000.
Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) ranked second in Nigeria, placing between 1001-1200 globally. ABU achieved notable scores in international outlook, research environment, and research quality.
Landmark University, a private institution in Kwara State, ranked third in Nigeria, also placing between 1001-1200 globally. The university recorded impressive scores in teaching, research environment, and international outlook.
The University of Ibadan (UI) and the University of Lagos (UNILAG) ranked fourth and fifth in Nigeria, respectively, both placing between 1001-1200 globally.
The rankings highlight the strengths and weaknesses of Nigerian universities, providing insights for improvement and growth in the country’s higher education sector.
