FRSC produces 73,740 drivers licenses , clears backlogs in two weeks

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) announced that it has successfully produced 73,740 National Drivers Licenses (NDLs) in just two weeks, following strategic intervention mechanisms introduced by Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed to address the backlog of applications.

Olusegun Ogungbemide, the acting Corps Public Education Officer, confirmed these developments in a signed statement, reiterating the FRSC’s dedication to enhancing its service delivery and addressing the concerns of the public.

Upon assuming office, Corps Marshal Mohammed prioritised revamping the FRSC’s processes, including a critical assessment of the National Drivers License Print Farm and other essential infrastructures.

This initiative was driven by widespread public complaints about delays in the issuance of drivers licenses.

In response to these issues, Mohammed established a task force dedicated to eliminating the backlog as swiftly as possible.

He also mandated 24-hour production operations and ordered the immediate resolution of technical problems hampering the print farm’s efficiency.

Currently, 84,500 NDLs are queued for production and are expected to be distributed to state licensing authorities across the country.

The Corps Marshal assured the public of the FRSC’s commitment to quality service and urged applicants experiencing delays to await notification or contact their state licensing offices to collect their licenses.
