Four PDP chieftains defect to APC in Gombe

Four chieftains of the main opposition, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Gombe State, led by Ahmed Abubakar Walama have dumped the party and joined the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The development is coming following the start of the 2023 General elections when politicians are scampering for more valuable supporters who can add value to their aspirations.
Ahmed Abubakar Walama, who led the politicians dumping the PDP for APC was Dukku local government chairman four different times and twice as a Commissioner in the state while the others are, Sa’idu Kawuwa Malala who was a one-time local government chairman, member of the state assembly and commissioner announced their defection on Monday.
Others are; a former special adviser in the state, Maigari Usman Malala and Mohammed Ya’u, a former youth leader of the PDP in Dukku local government area of the state.
Reports have it that the new APC members have collected their registration cards to show that they are now bonafide members of the ruling party in the state.
