INTERNATIONAL Breweries Plc Foundation said it is poised to addressing poverty reduction and instilling a culture of entrepreneurship among ambitious young entrepreneurs in South-West states of Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ondo and Ekiti.

The Foundation said this in a statement made available to newsmen in Lagos on Wednesday, urging indigenous entrepreneurs, who are solving some of the social problems facing the zone to apply for its ‘KickStart’ programme.

According to the Foundation,  KickStart programme is run as a competition for budding entrepreneurs and innovators aged between 18 and 35, saying it was aimed at “giving ambitious young entrepreneurs encouragement and practical help to get the business of their dreams off the ground and onto greater heights.“

It said, the year’s “Online Applications,” which opened October 9 and closes on November 6, 2017, can be filled and completed by visiting the International Breweries Plc Foundation KickStart website.

The statement reads: “Since its inception, the KickStart programme has kept to its promise of being a viable scheme for new starters and supporting the expansion of established businesses in industries identified by the Federal Government as having the most potential to create jobs.

“The KickStart programme runs as a competition for budding entrepreneurs and innovators aged between 18 and 35, providing them with business-skills training, development support, mentorship and the chance to get grant funds.

“International Breweries Plc Foundation insist that the ultimate goal of the programme is to help build a young prosperous society by helping to create a culture of entrepreneurship among the youth, thereby reducing youth unemployment for indigenes in the South-West.”
