Foundation donates N20m to Borno flood victims

The Thinklab Charity Foundation has donated 20 million Naira to the Borno State Government to aid relief efforts for the recent flood disaster in Maiduguri and Jere, Borno State.

In addition, the foundation has committed a 10 million Naira research grant for long-term research into Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) issues and control measures to mitigate the effects of future disasters.

The donation, made through Thinklab Charity Foundation—the philanthropic arm of Thinklab Group—was presented by Dr. Abba Damuna, Director of Projects at Thinklab Group, in Maiduguri. Dr. Damuna, accompanied by other delegates from the organization, handed over the donation to a Borno State Government delegation.

Dr. Sa’ad Alkari Kori, the founder of Thinklab Charity Foundation and a prominent entrepreneur and philanthropist, stated that this donation underscores his ongoing commitment to community support through various charitable initiatives.

“This donation reflects our dedication to aiding those in need and our passion for creating a positive societal impact,” said Dr. Kori.

“The flood disaster in Maiduguri and Jere has caused significant devastation, displacing many families and destroying properties. The Borno State Government has been working diligently to provide relief, and this donation from Thinklab Group represents a crucial boost to their efforts.”

Dr. Kori further emphasized that the long-term intervention, including the 10 million Naira research grant, aims to develop sustainable solutions for future disaster management and mitigation.

The Borno State Government delegation expressed deep gratitude to Dr. Kori and Thinklab Group for their generosity.

“We are profoundly thankful for this generous gesture from Dr. Kori and Thinklab Group Limited,” a government official remarked. “This donation will significantly support our relief efforts and help provide much-needed assistance to flood victims.”
