THE Valentine’s Day is a day set aside for the celebration of love between couples, families, friends, lovers and so on.
The day is seen as a special day for the expression of romantic affection, most especially among youths, and between 70 and 80 per cent of people do this.
But I would like to use this medium to say that the Valentine’s Day should not only be a day to express love and affection to our loved ones; it should also be seen as a day we can use to extend hands of love to the underprivileged, the physically challenged, orphans, the sick and all those that need to be loved.
February 14, 2017 should be seen as a day to show love to the people that have been neglected and abandoned. This is what the Valentine’s Day is all about.
