Former reps member, Ahmed Mailantarki joins Gombe 2019 guber race

AS the race for 2019 general elections hots up across the country, a frontline member of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in Gombe State, Khamisu Ahmed Mailantarki has joined the list of politicians seeking the party’s ticket for the office of the Governor come 2019.

Ahmed Mailantarki indicated his interest at the party secretariat in Gombe before his supporters, the State chairman of the party, Nitte Amangal and his executives’ members where he assured that if given the ticket, he has all it takes to wrestle power from the PDP controlled State government.

According to him, the PDP government of Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo has failed the people of Gombe State in many areas stressing that he is the only experienced candidate that has what it takes to take power from the PDP in the State.

‘’I decided to throw my hat into the ring because APC need someone who’s capable to lead the party to victory in the 2019 gubernatorial election and if you give me the chance to fly the shining flag of our party, what was witnessed in the 2015 general election will not repeat itself’’, he stated.

He told the mammoth gathering that the APC needs a grassroots politician of his calibre who has the wealth of experience following his successes during his tenure as a member representing Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye Federal constituency from 2011 to 2015.

While responding, Gombe State chairman of the APC, Nitte Amangal commended the courage of Ahmed to vie for the exalted seat under the APC and assured all the aspirants and of a fair and enabling environment at all levels to fly the party’s ticket.
