FORMER Governor of Plateau State Senator Joshua Dariye has enjoined people of the state to vote for the All Progressive Congress presidential candidate President Mohammadu Buhari and reelect Governor Simon Bako Lalong for the second term.
The Senator now serving a jail term of eleven years at Kuje prison in Abuja as a result of a financial misdemeanour while in office as the governor of the state spoke through the State Chairman of APC, Hon. Latep Dabang at the Zonal rally of APC in Shendam local government area of the state.
He said from all indications, both president Buhari and Lalong have performed to the admiration of Nigeria and people of Plateau state in particular.
According to him, both Buhari and Lalong have brought sanity to the crisis-ridden parts of Plateau state and as well stem the incessant crisis between the herdsmen and farmers.
” APC Government has brought more development to Plateau state, the prevailing peace is as a result of their collaboration, therefore a vote for Buhari and Lalong in the next election mean continuous development and peace,” he said.

In a speech at the rally, Governor Simon Lalong urged the people of Plateau to reject the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during the general elections adding APC needs four years term to perfect projects it started and yet to be completed.
He said: ” My administration represents integrity, when we came on board in 2015, we inherited unpaid salaries of workers and insecurity that left the state more divided but today it is a different story. There is peace and integration”
“We came to Government in 2015 and met unpaid salaries of workers, pensioners and insecurity. We cleared the salaries through the bailout provided by President Muhammadu Buhari Federal Government and settle the insecurity that the state went through.
“Today some people are saying that they will bring a retired General to come and fixed the security of the state, you should reject them because it was the PDP that brought the insecurity, hunger and religious war in the state, we should not go back to the dark days.”
He thanked Plateau People of the state for coming out to received President Buhari during the Presidential rally in Jos and urged the people to vote massively for the President and all APC candidates during the February 16 and March 2, 2019 elections.
The governor who received former Minister of Trade and Industry Mrs Josephine Tapgun and others who defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) assured them of a level playing ground adding that APC abhorred discrimination and injustice.
