Food production, job opportunities key to lasting security ― Course 30 of NDC

The production of food and job opportunities are the best option for the security and unity of the nation.

This was disclosed by the Team Leader of the participants of Course 30, Air Commodore Abolaji Orederu while fielding questions from newsmen at Malam Alu Agro Allied Farm in Birninkudu during their study tour to Jigawa State.

The Course 30 team leader further called on wealthy individuals to support the government through the establishment of factories and agro-allied industries to ensure food security and job opportunities for the teeming jobless youth across the country.

Air Commodore Abolaji Oredure explained that hunger and poverty are a result of redundancy and joblessness among the youth.

He commended the chairman of the Malam Alu Agro Allied company for establishing the farm in his locality “where it improves food production and provides job opportunities.”

Oredure also applauded the security reporting system employed in the state made up of traditional and religious leaders, government and security personnel.

“It is a very good system making the state doing well in the area of security.”

According to him “In Jigawa State we’ve seen a state that is focused, a state that is organised and a state that has developed a system that is working for security and for socio-economic activities.”

“And what we’ve seen in Jigawa is a system that is working, especially the security structure that has been put in place by the state government. Look at the reporting system, right from ward heads to district heads, to village heads, to the emirates and to the state government.

“Then the operation between the various agencies of government: we’ve seen that coordination, that togetherness to achieve the result of enhanced security in the state.”
