The ponytail is a hairstyle, in which some, most or all of the hair on the head is pulled away from the face, gathered and secured at the back of the head with a hair tie, drawstring or clip and allowed to hang freely from that point.

It gets its resemblance to the tail of a pony and it is one of the oldest hairstyles which have been evolving over the years with the introduction of new creative styles to make it unique, modern and of course, more beautiful.

To make the ponytail, gently wash the hair and detangle with wide-toothed comb while the hair is damp.

Apply ample amount of moisturiser before installing the hair extensions.

Create a small ponytail on the crown of the head; this will help secure a base for installing hair extensions. Take any weave you desire and start installing it around the ponytail.

Secure it with thread or hair tie and use a hair gel to smoothen the main hair. To maintain it, brush it daily if rough and add minimum amount of gel and you are good to go!
