Folake Bridget Idowu is one gospel artiste who wants to be set apart from every other. The love Folake Idowu has for music started at the age of nine when, according to her, she was exposed to secular music by family and friends. However, she stressed that her childhood memories, which include holding an imaginary microphone and singing on the streets to everyone who cared to listen, propel her interest in music which has now culminated to what the celebrated artiste she is today.

The young lady with a Muslim background revealed that her journey to Christendom started through an encounter with a young youth corps member who taught her English in secondary school, and who, today, is a pastor at the Redeemed Christian Church of God.
