Scene of a building collapse involving a building under construction collapsed at Glover court Ikoyi on Friday in Lagos
Five construction workers have been trapped in a collapsed two-storey building on Friday evening at Glover Court, Ikoyi.
Nigerian Tribune gathered that the ugly incident occurred at around 4:10 pm.
Reacting to the unfortunate incident through a statement issued by the Public Relations Officer, The Lagos State Emergency Management Authority (LASEMA), Nosa Okunbor noted that all efforts are being exerted to save the remaining trapped victim from the collapsed building.
“LASEMA, the Agency saddled with emergency response in Lagos, has activated the State’s Emergency Response Plans in an ongoing operation is still exerting all necessary efforts to excavate the site in order to save the remaining trapped victim from the building that collapsed this afternoon at about 4.10pm.

“In the ongoing operation at the Glover court construction site which houses a total of four different 2-storey buildings, all under construction of the five people trapped in the collapsed building at the time of collapse, the only construction worker reportedly still trapped under rubbles of the collapsed building is 24 year old Yomi, as all other workers have been accounted for” Okunbor said.
He, however, enjoined Lagosians within the vicinity of the incident to stay calm and allow emergency responders to do their job.
Nosa said that Emergency responders present at the scene include LASEMA, LASG FIRE LASAMBUS and LASBCA.
